#RCQuarantimes#
As we are almost
completing 40 days of lockdown..I'm just beginning to think and wondering no
generation in the near future is going to experience this 'new NORMAL' or the
'ABNORMAL' which we are currently in. "Sharing is caring" was once
taught in schools to kids and "Sharing is no longer caring" for some
period of time from now on. Social distancing has created a paradigm shift in
numerous ways ..the way we live, we work, we interact. Digital tools have come
to our rescue. Remote work discussions once remained very remote during those
board room discussions. This pandemic had that mighty power to bring in a
revolution that it has become the order of the day. The way we live and we work
has completed changed. This brings us to yet another uncertainty of drawing a
line between WORK and LIFE. Off late we have started to realize that work and
life is no different. Except for social media the word 'SOCIAL' is completely
under lockdown.
Some of the best
things I realised during these "Quarantimes" some whatsapp groups
which were buried right under came 'ALIVE'. All of a sudden there was fresh
life blossoming amongst relationships. The same old Childhood friends whom we
once met in our childhood brought back the childhood memories -'DEJAVU'.
Reliving life once more doesn’t happen every day in life but reliving the
memories - Yes, it can happen. Here came a chance to connect with those long
distant relationships which were disconnected long back. The much sought after
"ME TIME" , catching up with something which we desired long time
back also doesn’t happen that often.
Just like we know
Opportunities seldom come, let's embrace these times as one of those. Whether
it's the "new Normal" or "Abnormal" or the
"Normal" all that we should be doing is "LIVE THE MOMENT"
and I'm also remembering a telugu movie dialogue Quarantimes are "NEVER
BEFORE & EVER AFTER".
Good to see posts about quarantine..We thrive to get even more closer with our loved ones by using this so called "ABNormal" or in future terms "Normal" opportunity. On the contrary, work from home is stressing employees too much that they are even more distancing theirselves from family members(may be bcz everyone are obsessed by SOCIAL distancing) and attached to their gadgets be it, laptop/desktop/ipads/mobiles(in the name of stressbuster with games).
ReplyDeleteThank you for reading through. As we all have been trying to get adjusted to this new normal, it has its own repurcussions just like your mention of WFH being a stressing one. This situation is something entirely new for everyone. It's also one opportunity where we are closer to our close ones. Let us find new ways to break this stress.
DeleteIts very true Quarantimes are "NEVER BEFORE & EVER AFTER"..and one will have to make the best use of family time here where possible which i hope will cherish for forever in everyone's heart who use it ! It's just not long distance relationships that blossoms again even the Mother Nature who is regaining her beauty and offcourse every home will witness a new good change...Child in safe family environment..No daycares.. grandparents spending time with grandchildrens, Working Dad gets chance to babysit the kids for a while inspite of busy meetings, no wastage of travel times and ofcourse every home starts to witness the new "Chef" and most importantly family members sit together start having their dinner and lunch together in a home the very old traditional way..The only minus is we have to be cautious to stay away from gadgets for a while in a day and use that family time...As we wont get this chance again..Though on the other hand we see many people suffering due to this lockdown, prayers for them for a safer environment and do our duty to help in one or the other way towards the needy...
ReplyDeleteThanks for reading through. Agree with your thoughts, there has been lot of changes which we have been experiencing in real time.
DeleteNice One!!!
ReplyDeleteNew normal will become the synonym of abnormal. More lessons learnt in this time.
Thanks Vinodh. That's true. More lessons and more experiences.
